Yemen LNG Signs MOU to Build Hospital in Rudhoom District

 

Yemen LNG General Manager François Rafin, the Governor of Shabwa Dr. Ali Al-Ahmadi, and the Ministry of Health Shabwa Office Director Dr. Saleh Fad’aq, signed in Balhaf today a Memorandum of Understanding to finance the construction and equipment of a ‘Yemen LNG Ayn Bama’bad Rural Hospital’, in the coastal district of Rudhoom, Shabwa governorate.

The hospital, a two-storey building, will be equipped with 30 beds and a broad range of medical sections including an emergency department, a cesarean section, an operation room, a neonatal unit, an intensive care unit, an X-ray department, diagnostic clinics, a laboratory and a blood bank.

The construction contract was awarded to the Public Works Project (PWP) and signed accordingly between Yemen LNG General Manager François Rafin and the PWP Director General Eng. Saeed Abdo.

The award agreement was witnessed by the Governor of Shabwa and the Ministry of Health Shabwa Office Director that will be responsible for the management and operation of the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Al-Ahmadi stated that “the hospital which will be located in the rural district of Ain Bama’bad will provide health services for the benefit of Yemen LNG neighboring communities at Shabwa coastal areas and along the pipeline.”

Yemen LNG General Manager François Rafin indicated that “this project is a result of a successful partnership with the local authorities and communities of Shabwa and it aims to improve access to health services for all Yemen LNG neighbors.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the Ministry of Oil and Minerals and Rudhoom local council.
