ZTT Wins Sheyang H1 Offshore Wind Contract

Nantong-based Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology (ZTT) has won an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a section of the 300MW Sheyang H1 offshore wind farm.

The wind farm is being developed by Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of China Huaneng Group, off China’s Jiangsu Province.

The contract is valued at CNY 526 million (EUR 67.3 million) and covers the construction of infrastructure for, and the installation of wind turbines at one section of the wind farm.

The contract is expected to be delivered by the end of the year. It marks the first EPC cooperation on an offshore wind project between ZTT and the China Huaneng Group.

The Sheyang H1 will feature 67 4.5MW wind turbines installed on an area covering about 47.8km2 and in water depths of between 13 and 16 metres.

The CNY 5.4 billion project is one of 24 approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission back in January 2019. All of the projects are expected to be completed before 2020.
