China: CIC Changxing Shipyard Completes Repair Works for Tanker LIU LIN WAN

 

On March 9th 2012 CIC Changxing Shipyard successfully completed the repair works for vessel LIU LIN WAN. The vessel is 110,000 DWT tanker with LOA of 244.60m and LOB of 42m. Miscellaneous jobs on deck and installation of fairlead and bollard on poop deck constituted the main work scope.

Also, there were jobs such as the windlass casing renewal, wind plate installation for hawse pipe, checkered plate step renewal, butterfly bolts renewal for goose neck ventilators, enhancement for manholes, control box replacement, portside chain stopper to be partially cropped and renewed, etc. Meanwhile, there’s the scraping and derusting carrying on the deck and made it impossible to finish the aforesaid misc jobs at a time.

In addition, the continuous rainy weather brought heavy influence upon the docking slots. Under the care of the top management, they adjusted the docking time, arranged as many labors as possible by working three shifts to protect the interests of the ship owners. They strictly followed their business principle of “being honest and shipowner’s superiority”. Finally, they managed to achieve an on-time delivery of the vessel.
