China: Repaired Vessel THOR HARMONY Redelivered to Its Owners

Recently, CIC Changxing Shipyard successfully completed the repair of MV THOR HARMONY. The main scope of work included the shell plate renewal at portside of ER and WBT 6, gouging and re-welding of cracks found in 3 ER oil tanks, rubber channel renewal for 60 vent covers on hatch covers, sand blasting and coating of cargo holds, hatch covers and main deck.

Production department and steel workshop made proper deployment of workers and worked overtime to catch an earlier sailing time. The repair team, despite all difficulties, managed to surmount the influence of bad weather and maintain the good cooperation with shipowner by securing a good quality, safety and service.
