Amarcon Secures OCTOPUS-Onboard Order from CJ Korea Express

Amarcon has received an order for two OCTOPUS-Onboard motion monitoring systems for Heavy freight cargo vessels KOREX SPB no.1 & 2 from CJ Korea Express. Amarcon’s Motion Monitor system (TMS-3) based on three accelerometers, will be installed on the two Heavy freight cargo vessels.

This way multiple critical locations of the vessel, for instance the cargo, can be measured and displayed on the bridge of the vessel. By using OCTOPUS-Online, the vessel owner can download and display all measured motions and accelerations that are collected from the vessel.

Authorized users have access to this secured web-portal. The integration of Google Maps provides an accurate viewing of routes and ship positions. The data is downloadable for further evaluation in the office. Heavy freight cargo shipping companies often provide separate log-ins to the cargo-owner so they can be up to date on the actual status and location of their cargo.
