Norway: New OCV Vessel Joins Fugro Subsea Services’ Fleet

 

Fugro Subsea Services Ltd. in Aberdeen, Scotland has taken delivery of their latest OCV vessel “Fugro Symphony” . The vessel is built by Bergen Group at BMV in Bergen.

“Fugro Symphony” is of ST-327L CD design, developed by Skipsteknisk. The vessel is based on the previously built ST-327 serie of Seismic vessels at BMV and therefor 300 series number. The corresponding offshore design number is ST-258L CD.

The vessel is basically a sistervessel to “Fugro Saltire”, also built at BMV and delivered in 2008.

“Fugro Symphony” has main dimensions 130,2 x 24, and is fitted with one 150t AHC offshore crane, ROV hangar, one main moon pool, helicopter deck and she has an accommodation suitable for 105 persons.

The naming ceremony took place in Bergen in May 5th 2011.

Bergen Group congratulates Fugro Subsea Services with the new vessel and hopes it will meet their expectations and contribute to profitable business for the company for many years to come.

Fugro also wants to express their thanks to Bergen Group BMV for an excellent cooperation through building of this vessel, as well as the other 6 vessels of ST-design built during the last years.
