SOFF Takes Delivery of New PSV Normand Arctic from STX OSV

Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) has taken delivery of “Normand Arctic” from STX OSV AS, Langsten. “Normand Arctic” is a large LNG fuelled plat­form supply vessel (PSV). The vessel will be trading in the North Sea for Statoil for a firm period of 3 months with additional 5 montly optins.

STX OSV Holdings Limited, together with its subsidiaries, is one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels used in the offshore oil and gas exploration and production and oil services industries. Headquartered in Norway and with approximately 9,000 employees, STX OSV operates nine strategically located shipbuilding facilities, including five in Norway, two in Romania, one in Brazil and one in Vietnam.

SOFF’s activities are aimed 100% towards the offshore petroleum industry. Most of the fleet of vessels is equipped to carry out projects well above the traditional supply and anchor handling services.
