Tersan Shipyard Hands Over 'Havstrand' to Strand Havfiske

Tersan Shipyard from Turkey has delivered Strand Havfiske a new fishing vessel, the Havstrand. The vessel, with all its modern facilities, is a state-of-the-art factory stern trawler and represents the second delivery to the Strand family.

During design and construction of the vessel special attention was paid to features that enable easy and safe trawl operations as well as low fuel consumption.

As worldfishing states, features of the new trawler include excellent trawling manoeuvrability; fuel saving with floating frequency philosophy; selective catalyst reduction system on the exhaust line, achieving IMO Tier III; advanced fish processing plant and fish meal plant; and new modern hydraulic driven trawl winches.
