Image of the Day: Polarsyssel Comes Back for the Helideck

Having finished this winter’s assignments, “Polarsyssel” has returned to Leirvik for installation of the Helideck. Soon she will be heading for Svalbard again to be in the governor’s service.

She was delivered from Havyard Ship Technology’s yard in Leirvik in Sogn to the icelandic shipping company Fafnir Offshore in September 2014.

Polarsyssel is a state-of-the-art platform supply vessel (PSV) of Havyard 832L L WE design, specially built for operations under extremely harsh conditions in the North Atlantic. She is 88.5 meters long and 17.6 meters wide.
