Boustead Heavy Industries to build topsides for Murphy’s Sarawak project

Boustead Heavy Industries has signed a formal contract with Murphy Oil company for delivery of a topside, to be installed offshore Sarawak, Malaysia, Bernama has informed.

Under the letter of intent signed in November last year, Boustead Penang Shipyard, a subsidiary of Boustead Heavy Industries, will carry out the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) of Belum topsides for Murphy’s SK309/311 Phase 2 Sarawak Gas Development Project.

The value of the contract is estimated at RM 108 million (approximately $33 million).

According to a Bursa Malaysia filing, dated November 22,2013, the expected completion date of the project is June 2015.
