Chrysaor awards North Sea services deal to Petrofac

UK oilfield services company Petrofac has been awarded a rotating equipment management services contract in support of Chrysaor’s operations in the UKCS.

Petrofac said on Monday that it was awarded a 12-month agreement for the provision of fully integrated services across Chrysaor’s Armada, North Everest, and Lomond assets in the North Sea.

A team of engineers and support staff will provide field service, equipment repairs, material procurement, and technical support requirements to ensure operational targets for key rotating equipment are achieved.

Petrofac added that the new contract expanded its existing role on the assets acquired by Chrysaor in November 2017.

Dave Blackburn, senior vice president of engineering and production services west, said: “We are delighted to retain our involvement with these assets and to support Chrysaor’s vital investment in the future of the North Sea.”

After it took over a package of Shell’s North Sea assets last November, Chrysaor has awarded a number of contracts for various services on its newly-acquired assets. These contracts were awarded to StorkSparrows GroupReturn To Scene LimitedDNV GL, Well-Centric, Craig International, and Peterson.
