The Norwegians want IMO to pursue the emission targets for the shipping industry. Friends of the Earth Norway, Norges Naturvernforbund, levels criticism against the government. The organisation fears that the shipping industry will not take its responsibility. Erik Solheim, Minister of the Environment and International Development, dismisses the objections.
