The Salvage and Marine Operations Team invites tenders for vessel charter and marine Services.

The Ministry has a requirement for the provision of chartering support and associated services for a 5 year period.

The Salvage and Marine Operations (S&MO) Team is a key element of the MOD’s worldwide marine capability. It provides salvage, towing, heavy lift, operational moorings, port clearance and underwater engineering. In addition to the MOD, it also provides these services to Other Government Departments (OGDs), such as the Department for Transport and the Home Office.

Key requirements could include but are not limited to:

• Chartering support for vessels at extremely short notice obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating charters in accordance with declared Ministry guidelines;
• Training of MOD personnel in chartering;
• Provision of information on vessel availability;
• 24 hrs 365 days availability of contract services;
• Chartering advice;
• North west Europe specific with possibility of world wide coverage
