ADIL Makes Key Management Appointments

ADIL, an independent energy consultancy, has announced a series of key appointments that strengthen the fast-growing company’s management team and position it for future growth.

Lo Van Wachem, general manager of projects and developments

Lo Van Wachem has been promoted to general manager of projects and developments. A former chief operating officer of the Offshore Installation Group (OIG) and regional vice president of Neptune Marine Services, he brings more than 25 years’ global experience of project, operations, business development and commercial management to the role.

Based in Aberdeen, Van Wachem has been with ADIL since July 2012, most recently as a senior consultant working with Dana Petroleum.

He is joined by Raffaele Chiandet who has been appointed deputy general manager at ADIL’s London office. An industry professional with more than 20 years’ experience in senior project management and engineering roles, he has held posts with Agip, ENI and, most recently, was early works project manager for the Zakum Development Company in Abu Dhabi.

Finally, Mike Fuery has been appointed general manager of opportunity management. A veteran with in excess of 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, he has held senior roles in both the operator and consultancy environments and has been with ADIL since 2011.

Formerly developments consultancy manager, he will be based in Aberdeen and responsible for managing relationships with existing clients as well as supporting ADIL’s increasing focus on business development activity.

Managing director James Paton said: “Most of our staff have between 20 and 30 years’ operator and international experience in the oil and gas industry and the proven track record that each of these three colleagues have makes them valuable additions to our organisation in these new positions.

“They have a critical role to play as we look to expand our business both in Aberdeen and London and their in-depth knowledge of the market strengthens our senior management team and positions us for expanding the services we provide to our growing UK and international client base.”

ADIL is an independent consultancy focused on providing state of the art development and operations management support to the energy industry. With upwards of 160 staff and offices in Aberdeen and London, it marked a turnover of £31m in the last financial year.
