Akdeniz Shipyard Starts Construction of Super Green Cargo Ship (Turkey)

Akdeniz Shipyard has started construction/steel cutting of the new generation 10.500 DWT Super Green Cargo Ship designed by Turkey based Norden Ship Design.

The vessel is very economic and fuel-efficient comparing to the same size vessels in the world. Reputable well known Technical University performed the tank tests and they showed that this new generation design will be matchless when she is launched.

The vessel should be finished by the end of the 2013.

Akdeniz Shipyard, established in 2007 in the southern part of Turkey by Ceyhan-Yumurtalık region, holds the distinction of being the largest shipyard of Turkey and Eastern Mediterranean in terms of area and capacity. Having a total area of 175.000 m2 the shipyard aims for the shipbuilding and repair/maintenance services.
