Eidesvik said on Tuesday that the contract had been awarded under the existing framework agreement between the parties.

The firm period is six months, starting in the third quarter of 2019.

The Viking Athene is an offshore supply vessel built in 2006.

It is worth reminding that Aker BP in March 2019 entered into a frame agreement with three compatriot vessel owners – Simon Møkster Shipping, Eidesvik Offshore, and Solstad Offshore – for the supply of platform supply vessels.

The duration of the frame agreements is initially for three years, with the option of two additional periods of two years each.
