Alewijnse secures 8th Asian contract in three months

System integrator Alewijnse Marine Systems has won its 8th offshore contract in Asia, over a short period of three months, since the official launching in March 2014 of its new branches Alewijnse Marine Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Alewijnse Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

Jumbo Jubilee

Alewijnse’s most recent contract is signed with Jumbo Maritime and includes electrical service support on the offshore transportation and installation vessels Jumbo Fairpartner and material supply for the Jumbo Jubilee.

The latest Jumbo contract proves Alewijnse’s acceleration of its strategy to supply its electro-technical services to shipyards and operators in South-East Asia. Singapore and Malaysia represent an important opportunity for Alewijnse as their offshore industries are expanding rapidly. Alewijnse is an electrical system integrator with a world wide footprint to the maritime and offshore industries. A one stop shop E&I EPCIC contractor.

Jumbo Fairpartner

Support work on board the heavy load carrier Jumbo’s Fairpartner consisted of solving complicated software issues. An Alewijnse software specialist went on board identifying and resolving the issues and updated the systems, after which the Fairpartner resumed her duties.

Jumbo Jubilee

For heavy lift and installation vessel Jumbo Jubilee, Alewijnse arranged the supply of batteries and other electrical components. The vessel required support the moment it came into port in Singapore. With its resources and expertise Alewijnse was ideally equipped for the assignment.

Jumbo series

Alewijnse played a significant role in the building of the series of four vessels for Jumbo Maritime, of which Jumbo Jubilee was the fourth. First to be delivered was the Jumbo Javelin, followed by Jumbo Fairpartner in 2003 and by a third vessel, Jumbo Fairplayer, in the summer of 2008. Jumbo Jubilee was delivered in 2009.

“Having successfully worked for Jumbo Maritime for a number of years now, one may conclude the European work load has proudly been extended to Asia,” the company stated in the release.
