Dutch yacht builder AMELS has received an order from Espen Øino for a 78-meter AMELS Full Custom yacht.

The contract between the two parties was signed during the Monaco Yacht Show 2017.

With a gross tonnage of 2,850 tons, the newbuilding will be the largest yacht constructed at the yard so far, according to AMELS.

While further details of the project are yet to be disclosed, the yacht is scheduled for delivery in 2021.

As informed, the owner has selected Zuretti Interior Designers to create the interiors.

The AMELS Full Custom team is developing the naval architecture and engineering.

“This new AMELS project is a large volume yacht with a demanding specification… We have invested a lot of time and resources to develop our team and our facilities in Vlissingen for full custom building, so it’s very rewarding to start building the biggest AMELS yacht so far,” Roeland Berrevoets, AMELS Manager Projects Custom Building, commented.

AMELS operates the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands, with production facilities including three drydocks of up to 215 meters in length.
