The event, which takes place at Newcastle’s Life Conference and Banqueting Centre in Times Square, will bring together key purchaser personnel from two North Sea operators, Apache North Sea Ltd and EnQuest, with the contractors and suppliers who deliver the goods and services on which the sector depends.

Oonagh Werngren, Oil & Gas UK’s operations director, said: “With the sector forecasting capital expenditure of around £13 billion in 2014, this regional PILOT Share Fair provides the ideal arena for delegates to find out how their expertise and services could play a part in the stream of future work outlined by our guest speakers from EnQuest and Apache North Sea Ltd. I would very much like to encourage more firms in the region, a key energy hub for the industry, to come and hear about the rewarding business opportunities ahead.”
“Significant opportunities exist on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS), thanks to positive engagement between the government and the industry. This process has gained momentum with the publication of the Wood Report which underlines the urgent need to maximise economic recovery of the UK’s oil and gas resources.”

The regional PILOT Share Fair in Newcastle has attracted a high level of interest from firms providing a diversity of services including marine science, engineering solutions, electrical safety expertise and valve manufacture.
