ASD Tugboat with Highest Horsepower in China Delivered, Caogang 18

On August 19, 2012, a 6900Hp ASD tugboat named Caogang 18, built by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Group Co for Tangshan port Caofeidian tugboat, was delivered from the yard and sailed smoothly.

This tugboat is at present with highest horsepower being used in China market. Mr. Wang Zhongmin, the General Manger and vice GM Liu Shuyin from Tangshan Caofeidian port affairs co., ltd, Mr. Hou Shouzhu the GM and vice GM Gaojun from Tangshan port Caofeidian tugboat co., ltd came to Zhenjiang shipyard to attended sailing ceremony.

Since 1986, more than four hundred Multi-functional Azimuth Thruster Tugs have been developed and built by the Zhenjiang shipyard company. Except for harbor operation, the usage of the vessels covers firefighting, icebreaking, environmental protecting, patrolling, piloting and etc. Now the shipyard has over ten types of vessel equipped with different engines and propulsion system, such as stern tractor type, midship tractor type, anti-wind type etc.
