Atlantis joins Ocean Energy Europe’s board

Tim Cornelius, CEO of tidal energy developer Atlantis Resources, has taken a seat on the Board of Directors of Ocean Energy Europe by becoming a Lead Sponsor of the organisation.

Following its acquisition of Marine Current Turbines earlier this year, Atlantis Resources now owns one of the largest and most diverse portfolios in the business, with a project pipeline of 600 MW, including 398 MW MeyGen tidal project, currently under construction in the Pentland Firth, Scotland.

Tim Cornelius said: “I am hugely honoured to be joining the Ocean Energy Europe board. As a longstanding member of this organisation, we fully endorse all the work it does to promote tidal power on a global platform. I look forward to sharing my experience and contributing to the development of the marine energy industry in Europe and beyond.”

Atlantis joins a line-up of sponsors of the Ocean Energy Europe Board of Directors which includes senior representatives from: Alstom, EDF, Engie, Scottish Power Renewables, Siemens, DP Energy, DCNS, West Normandy Marine Energy, and Scottish Development International.

Ocean Energy Europe is a Brussels-based industry group representing the renewable ocean energy sector in Europe.
