Augean nets 5-year waste management deal with Statoil

Waste management company Augean North Sea Services (ANSS) has won a total waste management contract to support Statoil’s UK operations.

According to ANSS, the contract is for five years with options to extend the term. The deal with Statoil will encompass management of all wastes from drilling, hook-up, and production phases.

ANSS Managing Director, Simon Gibb, said: “This contract win, coupled with our recent successes with a number of onshore gas terminals, demonstrates that ANSS, despite being formed only five years ago, is now considered to be among the leading providers of waste management and industrial services in the industry.

“Although we are getting more and more involved in decommissioning, the Mariner project demonstrates there is still plenty of life left in the North Sea, and we are delighted to be a part of it with Statoil.”

ANSS was founded in 2012 for the provision of waste management services and specialist industrial cleaning services such as NORM Decontamination, in addition to handling all offshore wastes.

The company has recently announced the development of a multi-million-pound Decommissioning Centre in Dundee, in partnership with Forth Ports.
