Austal's 'TRI SWATH' Wind Farm Vessel Arrives in Europe

The first of Austal’s revolutionary TRI SWATH wind farm support vessels has arrived in Europe. The 27 metre Cable Bay was built for Turbine Transfers at Austal’s shipyard in the Philippines.

The vessel was offloaded in Southampton, with the process and handover to the owner overseen by technical staff from Austal’s UK office.

Austal says that the TRI SWATH, and other designs in its Wind Express series of WFSVs, will be prominent features in the company’s presence at the upcoming Seawork exhibition.

The new vessel, 27.4 metre long and 10.5 metre wide, is designed to operate in ocean areas of all European countries, including the demanding conditions of the North, Irish and Baltic Seas.
