The long-term global contract will see Axess provide offshore support services to FPSO assets located on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and the Brazilian Continental Shelf, as well as other assets in the future, Axess said in a statement on Monday.

The scope of work includes planning and executing inspection services.

Altera Infrastructure is focused on the ownership and operation of critical infrastructure assets in offshore oil regions of the North Sea, Brazil, and the East Coast of Canada.

It owns more than 50 offshore assets, including FPSOs, shuttle tankers, and towing vessels.

The company changed its name from Teekay Offshore Partners into Altera Infrastructure as part of its new vision for a sustainable future back in March 2020.
