Berge Bulk Adds Capesize Newbuilding

Singapore-based dry bulk owner and operator Berge Bulk took delivery of Berge Grossglockner, a Capesize newbuilding, from China’s Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry on January 6, 2017. 

The 210,000 dwt vessel will make its maiden voyage to Singapore sailing under the flag of Isle of Man, according to Berge Bulk.

With a gross tonnage of 109,224 tons, the dry bulk carrier features a length of 300 meters and a width of 49 meters.

Berge Grossglockner is fitted with the WX-electronic engine, enabling better fuel performance, minimized emissions and efficiency improvements, the company said.

As of January 12, 2017, Berge Bulk owns and operates a fleet of 54 vessels, with an aggregate fleet tonnage of 11.107,433 dwt, the company’s data shows.
