Bergen Group to Replace Compressor Motor on Troll A

Bergen Group Rosenberg AS has been awarded a Letter of Intent by Statoil, for the replacement of a compressor motor on the Troll A platform in the North Sea, offshore Norway.

The replacement is required due to a breakdown of the existing motor requiring an immediate and efficient operation to be performed. The contract includes dismantling of the existing motor and installation of a replacement motor involving complex fabrication, testing and installation activities over a very short period of time.

The project team is already mobilized at Bergen Group Rosenberg in Stavanger and the project is due for completion early April 2013.

The urgent nature of this project will require an extraordinary and dedicated effort across the organization, from engineers to construction operators.

Bergen Group Rosenberg is very pleased to be able to assist Statoil with this important task. The project enables us to demonstrate our flexibility and multidiscipline capability. It is a real “fast track” challenge and we are very committed to  delivery“, says Kristin Færøvik, CEO of Bergen Group Rosenberg.

Bergen Group Rosenberg is a well-established provider of major projects to the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The company employs about 650 people of which more than 230 are engineers. The company has experienced significant growth  during the last years and is one of the major contractors for modification projects in Norway.
