BoD of NGVA Europe to Get Three New Members

NGVA Europe announced that three of its members have applied for seats on the association’s Board of Directors: Linde, Bohlen & Doyen and Gasrec.

Together with GNVert they will have to be officially confirmed by the next annual General meeting (to be held at NGV2012 Bologna/Italy,next 19th June) to join NGVA Europe’s governing body.

With the expected incorporation of these three new representatives, from June 2012 NGVA Europe will account 13 members on its Board of Directors. During the next General Meeting the members will also elect the new Chairman to take over from current Chairman Trevor Fletcher (UK), Managing Director of the Hardstaff Group. Fletcher announced his intention to step down in November 2011 after finishing his three year mandate. As his successor, the Board of Directors has proposed the current vice-chairman Gerhard Holtmeier (GER), representing erdgas mobil, to carry on as chairman. “The continuous and strong growth of the NGVA Europe member body and the increased and very broad representation of leading companies in our Board is a clear proof of the important relevance of natural gas and biomethane as transport fuel”, Holtmeier said at the last NGVA Europe BoD meeting held in Brussels on 29 February.

Furthermore, for the vice-chair position Charlotte Hubert (FR), GNVert Board representative, is expected to be confirmed, having already offered her availability to become new vice-chairwoman.
