Brazil's CCB Offshore Extends Presence in Asia

Brazilian acceptance and compliance specialist CCB Offshore Brasil Ltda from Rio de Janeiro has established presence in Asia. After 3 years of operating solely in Brazil, CCB Brasil announced on the 28th of October its association with the Hong Kong based CCB Offshore Asia Ltd.

CCB Brasil recently secured a contract worth around U$ 900.000 for the provision of Brazilian specialized regulatory compliance assistance, including sub processes as NR6, NR10, NR13 and adherence to the Port State Control, IBAMA and Ministry of Labor requirements.

 Kit Smit, managing director CCB Brasil states: “It’s an acknowledgement of our delivered services from the last years. The Brazilian regulations are comprehensive and peculiar, resulting repeatedly in extended acceptance periods upon arrival in Brazil. In the coming 3 years, over 22 new builds will arrive and start operating in Brazil and it is in our client´s interest that we can act in the earliest phase possible of the project. Our affiliation with CCB Asia is driven by our strategy to improve availability of our services throughout the Asian shipyards”.

CCB Asia will operate in close cooperation with CCB Brasil, including Brazilian labor if situation requires so; for the Local Content (80% obliged by Brazilian governmental rules) and for the knowledgeable and experienced Brazilian HSE engineers.

CCB Brasil has developed various tracking systems and gap analysis to identify possible bottlenecks, both for HSE- as for Critical equipment assessments; with over 5.000 resolved regulatory pendencies, they have a record data base readily available.
