BW LPG reshuffles management team

Sugato Roy, Head of Fleet Supervision, will leave BW LPG effective 20 January 2015, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

BW LPG, operator of 36 gas carriers, also informed that Pontus Berg will succeed Roy in that role, which has been re-designated as Senior Vice President, Shipowner’s Representative. Berg will join the company on 6 April.

Berg, Swedish, has worked with the Eitzen Group and subsequently related companies since 2008. He is presently General Manager and Director General of Greenship Gas France, a Jaccar Group company. Prior to this, he worked as Technical Manager at Evergas A/S and Technical & Fleet Manager at Eitzen Gas.

He has experience as an engineer and fleet superintendent. He is a member of the Bureau Veritas Nordic Committee and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from Kalmar Merchant Marine University, Sweden.

Ad-interim the Fleet Supervision department will report directly to the CEO, Nicholas Gleeson.
