The vessel currently named HN 2488 was launched at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering’s (DSME) shipyard in Geoje, BW’s LNG unit said on Wednesday.

The FSRU, BW’s third such vessel, is scheduled for delivery in February 2019, according to BW LNG. It is equipped with an M-type, Electronically Controlled, Gas Injection (MEGI) propulsion system.

The Singapore-based gas shipping giant ordered the 173,400-cbm vessel back in 2015 at Daewoo along with a sister LNG carrier.

The order was adjusted in 2016 by BW to convert one of two LNG tankers to a FSRU.

Daewoo also said then that the price was amended for the duo to total 480 billion Korean won ($447.3m).
