Calecore, N-Sea Team Up in Barents Sea Survey

Calecore’s Offshore Geophysical division has seen a steady increase in demand over the past two years for ROV Survey Services. In June WROV operations were undertaken onboard the Kommandor Calum for a project West of Shetland whilst the Kommandor Stuart has been undertaking multiple integrated 2DHR, ROV and seabed testing and sampling campaigns offshore Northern Norway.

The Siem Stork has now replaced the Kommandor Stuart. The vessel is equipped with a new SMD Quasar Work Class ROV and Calegeo supplied Seabed Geotechnical tools.

The Kommandor Stuart will be heading North with Calecore’s geophysical vessel Kommandor Calum and Geotechnical Borehole Vessel Highland Spirit to begin a multi-year contract in the Russian Arctic.

Sarah Cashmore, General Manager of Calesurvey, said: “We are pleased to have our first opportunity to work with sister company N-Sea. and we have complete confidence that all operations will be carried out to our own high standards. We believe this will be the first of many projects, allowing us both to offer additional vessel solutions to our clients.”
