Accompanied by Cameron’s Regional Vice President, Global Vice-President for Services, Regional Manager and Business Development Director, Michie toured the new facility, which is four times the size of the last facility, increasing Cameron’s capacity for repairs and rental services, customer storage and inventory management services.

Commenting after the visit, Deirdre Michie said:

“These facilities are testament to the adaptability and innovation of Cameron that is very much part of their history and their DNA.”

Michie said that the oil and gas industry was going through really challenging times with businesses having to make some tough decisions and that companies had to invest to stay ahead.

“However companies like Cameron are also recognising that they need to invest to stay ahead,  they know that this industry will come through this and that it must be one that is competitive and fit for purpose if it is to be sustainable.”

“By listening to their customers and working with them to provide for their changing needs, Cameron is putting itself in a more positive position for the future.”

According to Cameron, the new facility has enhanced in-house capability for pressure testing of higher pressures for HPHT systems and capability to test risers in house. Customer training courses are also available.
