CARIS Conducts Training Course with CHS in Burlington, Canada
CARIS recently conducted a training course with the Canadian Hydrographic Services (CHS) in Burlington, Ontario, Canada which focused on the chart compilation workflow between CARIS Bathy DataBASE and CARIS Hydrographic Production Database (HPD).
The training course covered components of chart compilation that are not typically covered in introductory Bathy DataBASE or HPD training courses. Topics explored during the course included ideal points in the workflow to switch between Bathy DataBASE and HPD, different ways to cut and trim bathymetry and bathymetry features to update in HPD and tools that are accessible in both applications.
Bathy DataBASE and HPD are part of the CARIS Ping-to-Chart solution. Bathy DataBASE is a powerful system for the management and analysis of bathymetry and 3D data. HPD is a comprehensive system for the storage and management of marine spatial data and the efficient production of multiple product types.
