CCB Subsea clinches three-year deal with Shell

CCB Subsea, a Norwegian supplier of subsea maintenance services, has been awarded a long-term and nationwide framework agreement with the Norwegian subsidiary of oil major Shell.

CCB said on Monday that A/S Norske Shell awarded the company a contract for the delivery of engineering services, maintenance of subsea equipment, and recertification of well control equipment.

The agreement has a duration of three years, plus options, for Norske Shell installations on the NCS.

According to CCB, the companies collaborated on engineering, maintenance services, and offshore operations in recent years. The cooperation has now been extended and formalized through the agreement, which also covers recertification of well control equipment.

Nils Fr. Fjærvik, CEO of CCB Subsea, said: “The agreement represents a milestone for both CCB Subsea and the subsea market. The market is changing, and for the first time, an independent maintenance contractor such as CCB Subsea delivers a full recertification of critical well control equipment.
