CCB said on Monday that A/S Norske Shell awarded the company a contract for the delivery of engineering services, maintenance of subsea equipment, and recertification of well control equipment.

The agreement has a duration of three years, plus options, for Norske Shell installations on the NCS.

According to CCB, the companies collaborated on engineering, maintenance services, and offshore operations in recent years. The cooperation has now been extended and formalized through the agreement, which also covers recertification of well control equipment.

Nils Fr. Fjærvik, CEO of CCB Subsea, said: “The agreement represents a milestone for both CCB Subsea and the subsea market. The market is changing, and for the first time, an independent maintenance contractor such as CCB Subsea delivers a full recertification of critical well control equipment.

“We have built a solid foothold in the subsea market with our business model. Our delivery of risk-based and cost-optimized solutions is a highly competitive alternative for customers. This contributes to healthy and long-term guidelines for the further development of the subsea market.

“Our presence at all CCB and NorSea Group base locations represents a unique mix of flexibility and predictability.”
