CE FLNG updates on proposed export terminal

CE FLNG filed an update on its self-propelled floating LNG export terminal on the Mississippi river with the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Comission.

According to the report it is still waiting for a ruling by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on the proposed use of purpose-built, non-coastwise-qualified vessels for use as floating storage and liquefaction units to liquefy natural gas.

CE FLNG also said it seeks protection from market power and it has restructured its project to clear the new requirements published by the U.S. Department of Energy.

The company expects to commence operations in the first quarter of 2019.
