CETCO Expands Its Team (UK)

CETCO Oilfield Services, produced water and production services specialists for the oil and gas industry, has further expanded its team with the recent appointment of Chris Higgins as projects engineering manager.

The newly created role was developed to help increase revenues in the European and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions by upwards of £8million over the next two years.

Higgins joins the team having previously served in the Merchant Navy as an engineering officer, prior to beginning his career in the oil and gas industry. He has now built up an impressive level of experience in the industry, with extensive senior management knowledge in both engineering and commercial disciplines. He previously held the position of chief engineer at engineering service company Seafab Consultants and more recently worked as project manager with Lloyds Register.

Paul McAlister, area manager at CETCO Oilfield Services, said: “Chris’ background and experience make him a quality asset to the business. We brought him on board to help us emulate the successes we have seen in South East Asia, where we have seen revenues upwards of £30million per annum with plans to target the significant market potential across European and MENA regions.

“Increasing our team with quality people is essential due to our ever expanding client base and the impressive level of work we have planned already for 2013.”

One of Higgins’ first priorities will be to increase CETCO’s Capital Equipment Sales (CES) by heading up the division and, as business develops, his focus will move towards successful project delivery.

Chris will be working closely with the Aberdeen, Malaysian and US management and engineering teams. This will involve the management of engineering projects from bid stage, through award and fabrication, to final commissioning. From bid to award and commissioning CETCO CES allocate a dedicated Project Manager to ensure continuity of knowledge, skills, ownership and quality of the client relationship.

Higgins said: “I am thrilled to become a part of the dedicated team at CETCO and I look forward to increasing the company’s international presence and further developing its profile. Heading up the Capital Equipment division will be a fantastic challenge and will involve our continuing focus on quality, innovation and strong international collaboration. Globally we work well together as a team and I look forward to contributing to this ongoing success.”

CETCO Oilfield Services offers a range of internationally used produced water treatment technologies. CETCO Oilfield Services provides comprehensive solutions for a host of oilfield needs with the company’s European headquarters found in Portlethen, Aberdeen.
