China: Boluomiao Shipyard Repairs Oil Tanker JIN HAI TONG

The oil tanker “Jin Hai Tong” was well repaired by CIC Boluomiao Shipyard and re-delivered to the owners on April 29, 2011.

Ship-owners were very satisfied with this repair service, they said to the yard manager: “The repair technology, working quality & safety is very good! We will come here first if we have a ship need repair and we will recommend other shipping company to you”.

The oil tanker “Jin Hai Tong” entered into the shipyard on April 10, and the shipyard had 20 days to finish the repair work including the conventional dock repair, the overhaul of main engine, the repair of the generator, the boiler, pumps, deck machinery; steel plate renew of the No.2 to No.5 cargo oil tank’s inner bottom plating, inside the fore peak tank and chain locker and renew some pipe in the engine room. The renewal of the inner bottom plating was over 250 square meters this time.

The ship-owners were very much concerned for the repair quality & period. Face to the nasty working locations of the fore peak tank, inner bottom and chain locker, the shipyard stood to the tenet “All in order to ensure schedules” and maid a rigorous, efficient and safe plan. Every department was made good arrangement to provide the support of the technology, quality, safety and labors.

During the repair period, the chiefs of relative departments went to the working spot many times to give spot instruction for smooth production. Every workshop carried out working competition for the repair period, technology, quality, safety and service to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of workers. Finally, the ship was well repaired and sailed from the shipyard in time.
