China: Bulk Carrier Iskenderun M Arrives at CIC Changxing Shipyard for Repairs

M.V. Iskenderun M arrived at CIC Changxing Shipyard at the end of May, 2012 and began her three-week special survey. With the particulars of LOA 176.82 x29.4 meters, the subject vessel is a handy-size bulk carrier.

The main work scope is the treatment of the cargo holds, the main deck & the hatch cover, the renewal of hydraulic pipes of all hatch covers, the TST chipping works and the regular docking survey.

The owners of the vessel is a Turkish shipping company which has cooperated with CIC-Shipyards for more than 20 years. The subject vessel is 13 years old, which was newly purchased by the owners. Since the excellent repair capability and professional accomplishments of CIC- Shipyards had left a deep impression to the owner’s representatives, the repair project was awarded to CIC-Shipyards.
