Chengxi Shipyard Inks Contract for One Bulk Carrier

Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd and Guangdong Marine Co., Ltd. signed a contract for the construction of a 65.000 DWT bulk carrier on 26 February. Mr. Wang Yongliang President of Chengxi Shipyard Co., Ltd, related owner representatives and heads of related departments participated at the ceremony.

Two days after, on 28 Feb. 2013, the Shipyard successfully launched Shenhuazhonghai Shipping’s first 47.700 DWT bulk carrier. From the beginning of the construction (first steel cut August 2012), it took the shipyard just six months to launch the vessel. The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for May 2013.
