CIC Jiangsu Shipyard Starts Sea Trials for 46.000 DWT Bulk Carrier

On April 11th 2012, the second 46.000DWT bulk carrier (hull No.CIS46000-03) built for Shenhua Zhonghai Shipping Co., Ltd. by China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. was undocked from outfitting quay No. 3 to carry out the sea trials.

The sea trials are planned to last for two weeks, during which all the ship’s equipment will be thoroughly tested and inspected.

Upon completing the sea trials Jiangsu Shipyard will hand over the vessel to its owners.

China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Shipyard Co., Ltd. is located in the by-river development zone of Jiangdu City, Jiangsu Province. The shipyard was constructed based on the standard of being the leading company in the domestic and the first-class shipbuilding enterprise in the world. The shipbuilding base started its operations in April, 2007. According to the concept of “excelsior Ship building, Digital ship building, Green ship building”, the company set up the modern shipbuilding technical system including cutting & processing prefabrication lines, section block manufacture, integration of hull construction, outfitting and painting etc.

The company became the first one which can build six large-tonnage vessels in one dock simultaneously. China Shipping Industry (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. dedicates itself to the requirements of the ship owners with container ships, product tankers, bulk carriers, chemical tankers, water floating devices and offshore oil drilling platform.
