Zhenjiang Shipyard Hands Over Tug Svitzer Swift

Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard on April 26th 2012 officially delivered a 65t bollard pull Azimuth Thruster Tug named “Svitzer Swift”. The tug was built for SVITZER AS a company under Maersk Group.

Beside this delivery,  Zhenjiang Shipyard in February managed to deliver two more tugs to Svitzer. The first 65t bollard pull Azimuth Thruster Tug named “Svitzer Lynx” was delivered on February 16th and the second Tug named “Svitzer Oryx” on February 4th 2012.

Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Co. founded on May 25th 1951, has three main engineering departments for hull construction, outfitting and coating covering the total of 82.000 square meters of indoor workshops. The shipyard is capable of constructing vessels of 10,000 DWT ocean salvage ship, energy saving supply ship, high-power fire fighting ship, multi-function Azimuth thruster tug, full swivel car ferry, multi-function ocean salvage tug, ocean platform supply vessel, ocean stand-by vessel, sea-harbor environment protecting vessel, sea-harbor icebreaking vessel, water monitoring vessel, bucket-wheel dredger, salt gathering boat, double-hulled passenger ship, LPG vessel, multi-function container vessel, bulk cement carrier. Moreover, the company has long-time cooperation with global-wide classifications societies such as CCS、ABS、LR、BV and KR.
