Chinese Shipyards Opt for WTS’ HVAC Systems

Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions (WTS) has won contracts to deliver its HVAC systems to four Chinese shipyards.

The HVAC system are for:

• Four bulk carriers being built at Jinling Shipyard scheduled for delivery between September 2015 and June 2016
• Eight bulk carriers being built at Yangfan Group’s Zhoushan Shipyard scheduled for delivery between November 2015 and September 2016
• Four chemical tankers being built at Guangzhou Shipyard scheduled for delivery between December 2015 and July 2016
• One training vessel being built at Cosco Shipyard scheduled for delivery in December 2015

The training vessel is being built for Dalian Maritime University (DMU), the only key maritime institution under the Ministry of Communications, People’s Republic of China. The new training vessel will be the 3rd ship operated by DMU and will carry students all over the globe.

In addition to the above orders, Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions won the contract to deliver HVAC systems for two Pure Car/Truck Carriers (PCTC) built at Hyundai Heavy Industries for Wilh. Wilhelmsen.
