CIC Lixin Shipyard Completes Ship Conversion Project

A ceremony was held on June 6th, 2013, at CIC Lixin shipyard to mark the completion of a ship conversion project that entailed integration of revolving floating cranes. CCC, CCS and CIC leaders attended the ceremony.

CCC vice president Mr. Wang and CIC deputy GM Mr. Xu held speeches on the occasion and congratulated the shipyard on the successful delivery of the ship.

CIC Lixin shipyard started the subject conversion project on January 31st, 2013. The ship was originally of floating sand piler type, measuring 75 meters in length,  26 meters in breadth, and was appointed to receive Revolving Floating Cranes (600 tons). The conversion’s main work scope included: expanding of breadth for 6 meters (each side 3 meters), adding of the crane body (Dia. 6684 mm)  to the bow area, redecoration of the accommodation area, along with an overhaul of the vessel’s generators.

In addition, the work scope entailed modification of power installations which took the form of renewal of about 30000 meters of cable, followed by installation of winches (8 sets), F.O, L.O system; air, S.W, F.W system and ventilation system equipment, in addition to piping overhaul/renewed.
