CIC Shipyard Hosts COSCO’s Representatives (China)

Facing the recent tough market, CIC and COSCO Shipyard made joint efforts to explore ways and plans to get through and take exercise in market “winter” by strengthening exchange and communication. On Nov., 18, Mr. Wu Chengye, General Manager of CIC, received Mr. Wang Yuhang, General Manager of COSCO Shipyard and his delegation with amiable warmth.

Both sides carried out a comprehensive discussion about shipbuilding, ship repair and offshore business. The leaders of CIC Shipyards and COSCO Shipyard Business Headquarters attended the meeting and discussion.

It was understood that CIC and COSCO Shipyard have explored into the methods of compression of production and reduction of supply against the unbalance between supply and demand in order to promote the feasibility and probability of ship repair benefit enhancement. An agreement was reached that as the two main forces in Chinese ship repair industry, both sides should promote the recovery of balance in marker supply and demand, enhance average profit in the industry, and undertake social responsibility as central enterprises for healthy development of the industry.

Business department of COSCO Shipyard also visit CIC last week. Mr. Li Zhengjian, Deputy General Manager of CIC made conversation with Mr. Lv Shimin, Deputy General Manager of COSCO Shipyard and his delegation in cordiality and friendship.
