Clean Energy Fuels has been awarded a four-year fueling contract for Ryder System fleet of liquified natural gas (LNG) heavy-duty trucks that move goods for Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky.

The facility located in Georgetown, Kentucky is Toyota’s largest manufacturing facility in North America.

Clean Energy will open a station in Georgetown to fuel the trucks that are expected to consume approximately 380,000 gasoline gallon equivalents (GGEs) each year, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Clean Energy Fuels recently reported an increase in LNG sales with 17.3 million gallons of the chilled fuel sold during the third quarter.

The company’s network includes over 550 liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas fueling stations catering to fleets for short and long hauls across North America.
