Cochin Delivers SCI Ahimsa AHTS to SCI (India)

India’s Cochin Shipyard Limite yesterday delivered an Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel (AHTS), “SCI Ahimsa”, to the Shipping Corporation of India Ltd, Mumbai (SCI).

The 65.2 m x 16.0 m vessel is of AH03 type, designed by STX OSV, Norway.

It is a modern AHTS equipped with Rolls Royce Brattvaag Waterfall type Anchor handling cum towing winch with a tested bollard pull of 120t capacity.

SCI Ahimsa, capable of accommodating 29 persons, can also serve as a Platform  Supply Vessel. Chochin Shipyard is presently constructing three more offshore vessels for SCI.
