ConocoPhillips, Maersk Hire Noble’s New Jack-Ups

Noble Corp. Bags Contracts for Two Jack-Ups

Noble Corporation, a Switzerland-based offshore drilling contractor for the oil and gas industry, has secured contracts for two of its newbuild rigs.

The first contract is for the Noble Houston Colbert jack-up rig, currently under construction in Singapore’s Jurong Shipyard. Upon delivery, the rig will be hired by ConocoPhillips and will be deployed in Alaska. The one contract is expected to start in the fourth quarter 2013. The dayrate for the contract has been set at $235.000.

Furthermore, Noble announced it has been awarded a contract by Maersk for the Noble Sam Turner rig, also under construction in Singapore. The rig will be deployed in the Danish sector of the North Sea. The contract is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2014 and will last until the third quarter 2016 at a dayrate of $215.000.
