CSG boarded the ‘Island Performer’ (Yno 301) on their visit to ULSTEIN today.

The party consisted of 25 people from the European Commission, several European countries as well as Canada, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Singapore. CSG meets once a year, and this year’s gathering is held in Ålesund and hosted by The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.

The tradition is that CSG visits local businesses and meets business executives. The visit today included The Norwegian Maritime Competence Centre, Rolls-Royce, Offshore Simulator Centre and ULSTEIN. At the latter, Island Offshore’s managing director Håvard Ulstein was also present.

“CSG is an area where bureaucrats and shipping representatives can meet to learn more about each other. We are proud to show some of the actors in the maritime cluster at Sunnmøre and what we have achieved, and are happy that international decision-makers get an insight into this cluster,” comments managing director Arnfinn Ingjerd in Maritimt Forum Nordvest.
