D2E Consulting opens Offshore Outsourcing Training Academy

D2E Consulting, an Offshore Outsourcing Consulting Company founded by Arup Gupta has launched Offshore Outsourcing Training Academy that focuses on providing training on processes and framework to ensure that Offshore Outsourcing to India is not just a tactical methodology for reducing operational cost, but a strategic tool for delivering value to the customer’ business.
The Training Academy will focus on modules specifically relating to managing Customer Expectations from Offshore Outsourcing and also setting up Offshore Development Centers (ODCs) with the right organization structure, processes and ROI measurement and balance score card metrics to meet the goals and objectives set by the client organizations for the Offshore outsourcing initiative.
Arup Gupta, Founding Partner D2E Consulting says, “While there are many risks like loss of business knowledge, process discipline, vendor failure to deliver, data security, turnover of key personnel, inability to meet cost reduction expectations etc., that are associated with offshore IT outsourcing, the biggest risk simply put is quality. There are different expectations when it comes to quality when you interact with people of different countries and there is a real need to manage this major risk by setting the expectation and quantify what would be the expected quality of the service. This is what the Offshore Outsourcing Training Academy is trying to achieve through its tools and processes.”
After working with TCS for over 26 years, the last 7 years as the President of TCS America in the US where Arup grew a $2 Billion business in off shoring work from Fortune 500 companies, Arup worked with Polaris as their President and COO and then with Birlasoft as their CEO to implement the processes relating to structuring and improving Customer Engagement Management, Customer Relationship Management, Business Development and, of course, managing the Delivery of large strategic projects in onsite offshore model.
As a next step, Arup has packaged all the necessary processes, templates, workflows and tools relating to Offshore Outsourcing by overseas clients into a reusable framework, so that they can be reused with consulting led by him and his team. These processes, templates and workflows that are based on Arup’ extensive experience with offshore outsourcing for Fortune 500 clients in the US is the foundation of the Offshore Outsourcing Training Academy.
