Dahej receives LNG cargo

Petronet’s Dahej LNG terminal on India’s west coast received a cargo of LNG onboard the 154,800 cbm Aseem from Qatar today, shipping data shows.

The 10 Mtpa Dahej terminal operates at 109 percent of the capacity, but its margins on import of LNG from spot market shrunk, Petronet recently said after posting a 30 percent drop in its net profit for the quarter ended June.

Petronet buys about 7.5 million tonnes a year of LNG from Qatar’s RasGas under a long-term deal.
